Absorption rate of 2015 available Structural and Cohesion Funds 2007-2013 is approximately 83% on the EU level, which means that there are still 17% of funds that could be spent. Approximately €21,975,441,104 has been paid out throughout 2015.Country specific data are depicted in the graph below.

Analysis of the budgetary implementation of the ESI Funds in 2014

Overall implementation

·   The launching of the 2014-2020 operational programmes under the European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) and the Fund for European Aid to the most Deprived (FEAD) was a major achievement in 2014.

At the end of April 2015 overall absorption of Structural and Cohesion Funds 2007-2013 in Bulgaria amounted to 80.89%. Approximately 74.21% of payments were received from the European Commission, while 114.83% of funds were already contracted.
