Poland: Type of Operational Programmes 2014-2020

In the programming period 2014-2020 Poland has 22 Cohesion Policy Operational Programmes (OPs).

DG REGIO will manage 21 of the Operational Programmes, while DG EMPL one.

Six OPs are operational on the national level and 16 Operational Programmes are regional OPs.

Two of the Operational Programmes will be single-fund OPs (ERDF and CF); three others will be multi-fund OPs (ERDF/ESF, ERDF/CF, ESF/YEI). 

Breakdown of Structural and Cohesion Funds in Portugal

With the recent adoption of the Portuguese Partnership Agreement on the use of European Structural and Investment Funds, the allocations of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), European Social Fund (ESF) and Cohesion Fund (CF) have been clearly defined. The biggest fund that will co-fund Cohesion Policy in Portugal will expectedly be ERDF, which will amount to 10.773 million EUR. ESF will co-finance different eligible projects with 7.546 million EUR. Co-funding that will be available through CF will amount to 2.812 million EUR.

Informal Meeting of the Ministers Responsible for Cohesion Policy

An Informal Meeting of the EU Ministers for the Cohesion Policy  was held in Athens on the 24th and 25th of April. The main topic on the agenda has been SME support. Discussion focused on crucial issues, as access to finance and enabling business environment for SMEs with the support of Structural Funds. European Commission’s proposal on the European Urban Agenda and the role of cities have also been discussed.
