On February 23, 2015 the European Commission has resumed payments under the Bulgarian Regional Development Operational Programme (OP) 2007-2013. The payments were interrupted in June 2014 due to identified weaknesses. The interruption concerned two priority axes: Priority Axis 1 - Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development, and Priority Axis 3 - Sustainable Tourism Development. 

The European Commission will proceed with the initial payment of more than 52 million EUR from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
