The SME initiative workshop

"The SME Initiative is a key measure to leverage increased private and public resources for the benefit of European SMEs – not only within the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), but also under Commission President Juncker's Investment Plan. The purpose of this workshop is to present and explain the steps needed to set up the SME Initiative in practice on the basis of the examples of Spain and Malta. The Spanish and Maltese authorities have agreed to share their experience with other countries. Presentations from the EIB, EIF and the Commission Services involved in the SME Initiative will complement the Spanish and Maltese presentations. Two interactive Q&A sessions will provide lessons learned and clarifications on all organisational and technical issues. This presents a good opportunity for all Member States to get responses from competent experts who prepared and implement the SME Initiative."
