Romanian authorities interested in the Polish Decentralised Management System of EU Funds

Today, 2 April 2013, at the headquarters of the Ministry, Deputy Prime Minister Liviu Dragnea, Minister of Regional Development and Public Administration, met with His Excellency Marek Szczygiel, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Romania. The talks between the two officials focused on issues related to the priority projects the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration is currently carrying out, as well as the identification of specific areas of activity in which the two countries can intensify future collaboration.

Romania's Deputy Prime Minister and Commissioner Hahn discuss regionalisation in Romania

How to improve Romania's use of EU structural funds was the main topic of conversation at a meeting today between Commissioner Hahn and Liviu Dragnea, Romanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Regional Development and Public Administration. The Commissioner and Deputy Prime Minister discussed Romania s broad ideas around restructuring the country's regions, in order to better deal with EU funds. The Commissioner welcomed the initiative and said he looked forward to seeing concrete proposals. He outlined that the main priority is the effective delivery of funds – according to the rules – so the benefits of EU investments are felt by Romanian citizens.
