Commissioner Johannes Hahn attended the 1^st National Development Conference of the Programming Period 2014-2020. The Commissioner, together with Greek Prime Minister Antonios Samaras and Kostis Hatzidakis, Greek Minister for Development, launched the discussions on how the next generation of programmes financed under EU Cohesion/Regional Policy can best be focused to create jobs and boost growth. Greece is expected to submit its Partnership Agreement for the period 2014-2020 in June.

Today, 2 April 2013, at the headquarters of the Ministry, Deputy Prime Minister Liviu Dragnea, Minister of Regional Development and Public Administration, met with His Excellency Marek Szczygiel, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Romania. The talks between the two officials focused on issues related to the priority projects the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration is currently carrying out, as well as the identification of specific areas of activity in which the two countries can intensify future collaboration.
